Letting other people do the dirty work

In classic Marc-style, I have caught on to the popular culture years after the initial coming.

Kate and I were good Memorial Day consumers and spent the day at the mall. We wandered into a video game store because we had been considering buying a game system to entertain ourselves when there is nothing else to do. We didn't know what system to buy, didn't know what games to buy, and we felt really old all of a sudden.

We went home and hooked up Kate's Playstation to see if we would use it. Then we would have an excuse to buy another game system. I never played with anything past Nintendo. I'm a left-right-up-down-A-B kind of guy. All the buttons on the PS controller always made me a little nervous.

As I popped in Tomb Raider, Kate was skeptical because she had never made it past the first level. We managed to piece things together and make it through. And we kept on playing. Last night we finally beat the T-Rex, collected all the cogs, and shut off the waterfall. We were in the temple, solved all the puzzles and nearly died a few times when that guy kept shooting at us. I think there's a lot more to come and I'm definitely looking forward to it. Don't spoil it for me!

Oh, and you should really check out this band called Nirvana, I think they're going to go far.
